Champlain Valley Union junior teammates Estella Laird and Alice Kredell, who have contributed to back-to-back Vermont Division 1 titles as part of the program's legacy of 14 championships in the past 15 seasons and 19 crowns in 21 years in addition to securing victory Nov. 11 at the New England Championships in Maine, join DyeStat editor Erik Boal to discuss Champlain Valley XC Club competing Nov. 25 in the girls championships at the Nike Northeast Regional at Bowdoin Park in New York. Champlain Valley XC Club finished fourth in the NXR Northeast championship race last season, with Kredell and Laird both placing in the top 30. Champlain Valley XC Club, which also includes a lineup featuring Charlotte Crum, Lydia Donahue, Audrey Neilson, Annalise Wood and Noe Jenni, is seeking its first qualifying berth to race at Nike Cross Nationals since 2018, looking to advance to compete Dec. 2 at Glendoveer Golf Course in Oregon, and matching the all-time Northeast Regional girls record with a fourth trip overall, along with 2010 and 2011.
